BigBoxBreakouts' newsletter produced 12 trades in July. Those were a mix of buy and sell-short trades. Nine (9) of the trades were closed profitably, and 3 were losing trades. The combined gain of all profitable trades net of the combined loss of all losing transactions was 40.37%. The most profitable trade was a long position in Sky-mobi (NASDAQ:MOBI) with 14.2% profit. The greatest loss was incurred in trading LHC Group (NASDAQ:LHCG) - a loss of 3.7%. The average trade during the period brought a 3.36% profit.
Duration of the trades. True to its swing-trading designation, most positions entered by the newsletter followers were held at least several days. The average trade duration was 6 days, with the longest 13 days, and the shortest a single day. "The fact that we do not post alerts for intraday trades allows traders with small accounts, under $25,000, to get involved in every trade without running afoul of the SEC's "pattern day trader" rule," explained Mr. Mutaftchiev.
Disclaimer: In order to achieve 40.4% trading gains, a trader would have invested their entire account in every trade. To minimize chances of a devastating loss to traders' accounts, BigBoxBreakouts does not encourage this practice. The newsletter recommends traders use 1/4 to 1/3 of their brokerage account balance for each trade. BigBoxBreakouts.com is not a securities broker/dealer or an investment advisor, as defined by U.S. securities code.
